Lance Cpl. Joshua Schinlaub, a fire team leader with Charlie Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, searches for threats in a doorway before pushing his team to the next building during a training raid at Camp Lejeune’s Military Operations in Urban Terrain Compound, Feb. 15. The raid was part of Certification Exercise (CERTEX) - the final at-sea training exercise for the 24th MEU with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group which took place Jan. 27-Feb. 16, and included a series of missions intended to evaluate and certify the units for their upcoming deployment.
