Marines with Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, converse wih their Haitian neighbors who congregate daily in an open lot next to a storage and distribution point for a Civil Military Operations Center. The CMOC receives food and water in bulk and sends it out to be distributed by Non-Government Organizations throughout Carrefour. Carrefour, which was an impoverished suburb of Port-au-Prince, wasrocked by last months earthquake and is just starting to clear rubble for rebuilding to begin.
