A Marine stands watch at a check point in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Marines from Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, have conducted full-spectrum operations in the Garmsir city district of Helmand Province since the end of April and have begun transferring control of the region to ISAf and Afghan national forces.
