The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit showcases their equipment and personnel at local military academies as part of a community project in Virginia Nov. 5. The MEU displayed several HMM-365 (Rein) aircrafts and Marines from Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment that brought a first hand experience to cadets (students) of the Marines' workforce. The MEU took time to present their Marines to the local community during their Realistic Urban Training operation, an exercise designed by II Marine Expeditionary Force's Special Operations Training Group, and is intended to place the MEU in a simulated urban fighting environment other than training facilities found on a military installation.
