U.S. Navy Corpsman HM1 Michael D. Bryson, a corpsman with 1st Battalion 8th Marine Regiment, receives a Navy Commendation Medal during an award ceremony at Camp Lejeune, N.C., September 22, 2020. Bryson received the Chief Hospital Corpsman George William “Doc” Piercy award (not pictured), which recognizes one Navy corpsmen who has earned the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) badge for contributing to the combat readiness of any air or ground element in the Marine Corps. Bryson also received a Navy Commendation Medal for his outstanding service and accomplishments while serving as a corpsman for 1st Battalion 8th Marine Regiment.
