Bryson received the Chief Hospital Corpsman George William “Doc” Piercy award, which recognizes one Navy corpsmen who has earned the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) badge for contributing to the combat readiness of any air or ground element in the Marine Corps. Bryson also received a Navy Commendation Medal for his outstanding service and accomplishments while serving as a corpsman for 1st Battalion 8th Marine Regiment.
