Col. Scott F. Benedict, the commanding officer of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, passes the non-commissioned officer's sword to Sgt. Maj. Lanette Wright during a relief and appointment ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., March 14, 2014. Wright, a Boca Raton, Fla., native, is the first female MEU sergeant major in Marine Corps history.
