CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Marines and Sailors with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Command Element spent Jan. 20, refining their combat marksmanship skills at range K406B located in Verona Loop training area of the base.
The training was an opportunity for servicemembers to get away from their daily work environment to focus on improving their ability to fire at targets at various distances, while donning a full combat load.
The 24th MEU Command Element currently consists of approximately 80 Marines from various occupational specialties. The 24th MEU will grow to a 2,300-strong Marine Air Ground Task Force with the addition of company and battalion-size assets later this year.
