CAMP DAWSON, W.Va. -- Marines of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted vehicle convoy operations training here May 13. This exercise was part of the MEU's Training in an Urban Environment Exercise.During the training the Marines simulated being ambushed by persons using improvised explosive devices on the side of the road. TRUEX allowed the Marines of the MEU to train in urban combat scenarios they may face during their upcoming deployment.
