CAMP DAWSON, W.Va. -- With their deployment date o Iraq fast approaching, Marines of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit decided to give their usual physical training a twist by conquering the obstacle course at Camp Dawson, W.Va., May 10. During the course, Marines from various detachments of the MEU Service Support Group 24 maneuvered through obstacles that required speed, strength, coordination, and a healthy respect for heights. The course was part of the MEU's Training in an Urban Environment Exercise, which may be the MEU's final training evolution before their deployment this summer.
