Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, stage Humvees at their forward Command Operations Center prior to conducting simulated raid at Camp Lejeune’s Military Operations in Urban Terrain compound, Feb. 14, 2012.  The unit came ashore using Landing Craft Air Cushioned hovercraft earlier that morning in preparation for their final sequence of missions for their 24th MEU’s Certification Exercise (CERTEX). The unit is conducting CERTEX with Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, which took place Jan. 27 to Feb. 16, and included a series of missions intended to evaluate and certify the unit for their upcoming deployment.
