Marines of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Battalion Landing Team, verify explosions created by 120 mm Towed Rifled Mortar systems, commonly called the Expeditionary Fire Support System (EFSS), aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nov. 2, 2011. The firing was part of a Field Training Exercise designed to sharpen the skills of the 24th MEU’s BLT Marines for their upcoming deployment.
