First Sgt. Derek Lee, the company first sergeant of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, presents arms to a 21-gun-salute in remembrance of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The 21-gun-salute was conducted by artillaryman of 3rd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment on Fort Pickett Va. at 08:45, Sep. 11, 2011. More than 900 Marines and Sailors will take part in the Deployment for Training exercise at Fort Pickett, Sept. 6-23. The battalion is scheduled to attach to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit a few days after the training.
