Staff Sgt. Joseph A. Benton, platoon sergeant, 1st platoon, Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, seasons a tray of barbeque ribs for the USS Ashland Steel Beach Barbeque aboard USS Ashland March 7.  The Steel Beach event provided the Marines and Sailors aboard USS Ashland with a grilled meal, beverages, and recreation.  Marines and Sailors with the 24th MEU and Nassau Amphibious Ready Group organized the event to reward everyone for their hard work during their deployment.
