Sergeant Christopher L. Stinnett was meritoriously promoted to his current rank by Colonel Ronald J. Johnson, commanding officer of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The ceremony was held May 5, aboard USS Iwo Jima while participating in the 24th MEU's Certification Exercise. Cpl Stinnett is a member of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 365 (reinforced), the Aviation Combat Element of the 24th MEU.
