NEW ORLEANS (Sep. 9, 2005) - An amphibious assault vehicle from 4th Amphibious Assault Battalion, a reserve battalion headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., travels down the streets of New Orleans' Ninth Ward District conducting search and rescue efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Since SAR missions began on Sep. 5, the Marines of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Katrina have rescued more than 78 people.
