Maritime Raid Force Marines, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fast rope from a Navy MH-60 attached to the 8th Amphibious Squadron during a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure exercise as a part of Realistic Urban Training at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., July 13, 2014. VBSS operations are primarily conducted by the Maritime Raid Force, a unit sourced from 2d Reconnaissance Battalion, for the purpose of Maritime Interdiction Operations.
