FORWARD OPERATING BASE ISKANDARIYAH, Iraq -- Marines of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit watch the shores as they patrol the Euphrates River. The Marines are from Small Craft Company attached to Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines – the ground combat element for the 24th MEU.The 24th MEU is currently conducting security and stability operations in Northern Babil province.
