ABOARD USS SAIPAN (LHA-2) -- AV-8B II + Harrier Pilots from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 263, the Aviation Combat Element for the 24th MEU, spent an evening conducting take offs and landing aboard the USS Saipan (LHA-2) April 1. The training allowed the pilots to practice maneuvering their jets while taking off and landing on the ship's flight deck while underway.
