As the Marines and Sailors of the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operation Capable) head through the Mediterranean Sea, they continue to train with intensity and focus. For the Marines of Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Bn., 2nd Marines, that means sharpening their skills in fast roping.A CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter was backed to the edge of the flight deck allowing Marines to exit the open ramp and make the full drop through the aft elevator on to the hanger bay level. The Warlords then ran back up to the flight deck and repeated the cycle for a full day of training.
