Marines at the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Bn., 2nd Marines', Administration and Logistics Center (ALOC) in Dragas, Kosovo, received some training on the Viper II Laser Range Finder from Capt. Todd A. Kistler, BLT forward air control officer. Among the Viper II Laser Range finder's capabilities is the ability to determine range, azimuth to and size of a target. When connected to a Plugger 2 Global Positioning System it becomes a targeting system capable of achieving a precise 10-digit grid coordinate location for the target.
